At Firehouse Effects, we offer creative, safe and professionally-managed pyrotechnic services. We stock a wide range of squibs, maroons, black powder, fuse heads, and smoke grenades in our three licensed pyro magazines and coordinate with the South African Police Service to acquire permits and ensure complete compliance with the law. Doug is our in-house licensed pyrotechnician, and with a decade of pyro experience, he has built a qualified pyro team for body hits, bullet hits, explosions, car cannons, sparks, quick releases for both effects and safety systems, rockets and glass-breaking for both effects and stunts. We offer both remote and wired detonation.

We design and execute each pyro effect with precision, control and extreme risk-aversion, working closely with the police, stunt coordinators, directors, safety officers and fire cover to ensure the best result on screen — without compromising on safety or compliance.
